As one of the oldest neighborhoods in the city, the Lower East Side is currently undergoing rapid change that has resulted in an area of boutique shops, high-luxury hotels and trendy restaurants. This neighborhood has a dynamic, creative vibe (exemplified by the many contemporary art galleries in the neighborhood) as well as striking diversity.
